Whom Will You Serve

 

 

To all the women out there that have survived or that are currently in a domestic violent situation that you can’t see your way out of, I am fervently praying for you! Opening yourself up to someone that says that they love you and yet are so comfortable with beating and misusing you is so hard to bare.

Growing up in an abusive environment will open doors to death that will try to keep you bound in its grip for a lifetime. Abuse is not always physical either. Control, manipulation, and gaslighting are a few other ways of abuse. When you are in these situations, you can’t see your way out so you accept whatever the abuser throws at you. In the process, you lose your identity and start to take on a false identity to please those that are abusing you.

It truly breaks my heart to hear people talk down about people that have been in situations of abuse without the knowledge of knowing why they stay so long and do not leave. To them, those being abused, it’s not that simple. Maybe there are children involved, finances, or the fact that their life has been conformed to that of their enemy.

One of the dangers that one faces as they endure the attacks are the lies that are told that sway others to believe that they are the problem. Abusers ALWAYS lay groundwork to cause others not to believe nor trust you. When you gain a little power to speak up and tell your story, you are met with so much opposition because when you react to their actions, they paint the picture to furthermore “prove” that you are crazy and delusional.

This is just the physical side of abuse! There is a much deeper, more sinister spiritual side to it. According to the word of God in Ephesians 6:12, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. This verse, along with others, has helped me to break free from the stronghold of death that had me in its grip, and I believe that it will help anyone else that has gone or are currently going through abuse. It is the desire of death to deceive us into believing that we cannot be redeemed and made whole from his vices. He is a liar and the father of ALL lies! The blood of Christ speaks a better word!

The spirit of death needs to occupy a physical body to do his bidding, thus he uses those that yield to him to be used. Once you understand this, the next phase of healing would have to be within relationships of all kinds because you will begin to see that your gossip groups are monitoring spirit sessions that retrieve information to relay back to your enemy. Your groups of friends are not really that because it appears that your compassion is met with criticism. Trusting in anyone is a nonfactor and you have a hard time maintaining connections. This is all a strategic plan thought out carefully by the enemy of your soul to keep you from knowing, stepping into, and walking in your true identity. Keeping you isolated so that he can control your mind and tear down Gods original plan and purpose for mankind.

There is a healing balm that has flooded the earth by God to heal his people. What we see happening in EVERY aspect of society is the sovereign hand of God at work tearing down the forces of darkness and building up His Kingdom all at the same time. We are in a burning bush moment where we must decide whom we will serve. This is not the time to get distracted by the changes, but rather the moment that you make the most important decision of your life for you and your household.
